Responding to growing demand for its products, aluminium company ALUMIL decided to reopen its production plant in Xanthi, North Greece. Production in the Xanthi plant had been suspended in 2013.
2021 was a milestone year for ALUMIL with a significant increase of its clientele abroad and the opening of new markets for its products. Turnover of the Group is estimated at € 315 million, increased by € 74 million compared to 2020, ie 30%.
Reopening the Xanthi plant will create hundreds of new jobs and contribute to the regional development of Thrace.
The Xanthi plant, which used to produce 14,000t aluminum profiles per year, is expected to be put into operation next April, once renovation and technical modernization works are completed.
