The Hellenic Tank Challenge 2021, a competition between armed forces from Greece and the United States, took off on November, 1.
The Hellenic Tank Challenge 2021 is a training exercise designed to give participating nations a dynamic, productive and fun environment in which to foster military partnerships, form soldier-level relationships, and share tactics, techniques and procedures.
This year’s exercise between Greece and the United Statesvtakes place in Xanthi, Northern Greece and will enhance tactical and operational interoperability between the two armies.

The US forces are represented by the 1-16th Infantry Regiment.
Events include precision driving, tank recovery under CBRN conditions, medical evacuation, damage assessment, vehicle identification, range determination and live fire.
The scope is to test the readiness, capabilities and teamwork between the Greek and American crews.
