A funding programme under the European Economic Area ( EEA) and Norway grants offers 8 million euros to Greek business innovation projects.
The focus areas of the programme, that aims are Green Industry, Innovation, Blue Growth and ICT.
The eligible applicants are both SMEs and large enterprises, which have the opportunity to access a grant starting with 50,000 euros and reaches up to 1.5 million euros, with funding intensity up to 50%.
The funding is available to Greek companies via the “Business Innovation Greece” programme aiming to increase the competitiveness, value creation and sustainable growth of Greek private sector enterprises.
The programme is operated by Innovation Norway. As part of the Norway Grants 2014-2021 financial mechanism, the programme aims to contribute to the reduction of economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area (EEA) and to support the bilateral relations between Norway and the Beneficiary States.
This programme represents a unique partnership opportunity to bring expertise and technology from project partners. Companies, clusters, NGOs, institutions etc. from Norway could be project partners, for individual Greek companies.
Companies can apply for grants between 50,000-200,000 euros for small projects and 200,000- 1,500,000 for larger projects. Applications are open from March until June 2022,
- Green Industry Innovation
Greening of the manufacturing and production industries. Support can be given to investments in more green technologies to increase the production capacity, diversify products or services, or contribute to a fundamental change in the production process to make it more environmentally friendly.
Digitalisation/ automation/ optimisation of production/process lines (in the direction of Industry 4.0).
- Blue Growth
Support for sustainable growth in the marine and maritime sector in general. Sea, ocean, rivers, lakes and islands represent resources for innovation and economic growth. Example of projects could be innovative marine/maritime equipment, green shipping technology, ship repair, maritime and marine safety.
