The 83rd Thessaloniki International Fair, which will take place from September 8th-16th, will once again be attract big names to Greece’s second city. It also carries extra significance this year as it comes soon after Greece’s exit from its bailout program in August.
Over 50 major companies, such as Coca-Cola, IBM Hellas, VISA, Microsoft, Google, and Lockheed Martin, will be participating in the US pavilion as partners or exhibitors.
During a press conference last week in Athens to highlight the upcoming TIF, the US Ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt stressed the importance of the event: “It’s an unmatched opportunity for Prime Minister Tsipras to send a clear signal: Greece is open for business. TIF is the optimal platform for the US to demonstrate its support of Greece’s return to growth… for synergies and visibility. There is a strong American appetite to establish a business presence here,” he said.
