The Eurogroup has urged the Greek government to continue its many reforms after the bailout program officially ends next month. Eurogroup president Mario Centeno issued a clear message that reforms must continue to be implemented. Speaking to France 24, he said: “Greece possesses the instruments and has applied reforms allowing its economy to grow in a sustainable way.”
The end of the program signals a new start for Greece as it attempts to go it alone for the first time since the government debt crisis began nearly a decade ago. Although the program will end, the EU along with creditors will keep a close watch on progress made and that the government is adhering to the terms agreed.
