Eurogroup president to meet with Greek prime minister
The head of the Eurogroup, Dutch finance minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, will meet with Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras in Athens later today for talks regarding the review of Greece’s third bailout since the program was launched back in 2010.
Dijsselbloem is also due to meet with his counterpart Euclid Tsakalotos and alternate finance minister Giorgos Houliarakis later in the day before a joint press conference aimed at explaining any progress that might be made. In addition to that, Dijsselbloem will also attend an Economist conference before meeting with New Democracy leafer Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Earlier this year an agreement was finally reached between the Eurogroup and Greek authorities for the release of much-needed funds. The bailout program is expected to end in August 2018.
