The 6th World Tourism Forum Lucerne (WTFL) is taking place today (Friday) at the resort of Costa Navarino, in the southwestern Peloponnese and will conclude tomorrow.
The WTFL event takes place annually in different locations around the world and is attended by a group of influential leaders from inside and outside the industry to meet for a forward-looking discussion on key challenges and opportunities in the global travel, tourism and hospitality. The main topic will be Public-Private Partnerships for Sustainable Tourism Growth.
Greece was selected as the host destination this year on the recommendation of Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura. The country has enjoyed a year-on-year increase in tourism since 2012 and remains a key sector for further economic growth.
