Ryanair expands international network from Athens

The low-cost airline Ryanair has announced that it plans to expand its international network from Athens International Airport over the coming months while at the same time reducing its domestic network across Greece.


The airline will be operating flights to 13 additional international destinations out of Athens. New routes wil include Billund in Denmark; Karlsruhe, Memmingen and Frankfurt in Germany; Gdansk, Krakow, Katowice, Lodz Lubinek, Poznan, Rzeszow and Wroclaw in Poland; Lappeenrantain Finand; and Vilnius in Lithuania.


While it is reducing its domestic network with the cancellation of flights to Chania, it will retain routes to Thessaloniki, Mykonos and Santorini.
